About Our Speaker
Rebecca Ajulu-Bushell grew up in Africa, before returning to the UK to pursue her sporting and academic careers.
After retiring from competitive sport she graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford with a degree in Fine Art. Following graduation she relocated to Paris where she worked in communications and corporate strategy, learnt French, and made films.
She has subsequently worked in the education department at the Saatchi Gallery, the Gender department at Oxfam, and as a History of Art mentor and tutor, working with Oxbridge Applicants.
She is currently in pre-production for her first documentary in collaboration with the Cape Town Film Festival, an exploration of her late father, Professor Rok Ajulu’s life: following his political activism, imprisonment, and academic career.
